Hello, sir.
With whatever little time, available, i have been religiously reading the fascinating articles in you homepage.
I confess i have yet to seriously attack my UDE's. Somehow, i want to understand toc better first before meeting my staff to find the core problem. everytime we met (3 times) they asked questions i couln't answer.
The tp procedures of CRT, FRT, EC, etc. (specially with CLR) are quite involving, but i know they spell the difference between never-ending improvement and never-ending lip service.
Meanwhile, since i organized this major furniture tradeshow for 200 companies, i had to teach my marketing staff to handle my company booth, close deals and make money, without me. potentially it is "a clear case of misaligned responsibilty and authority in empowerment". i tried mixing empowerment (Policy Conflict) and It's not luck (the evaporating Clouds) technique and wrote this story / article entitled "To discount or not to Discount." my staff loves it.
If you have time, and if you think it is worth including among your articles, please find attached document entitled todisc~1.doc. i am not sure if how Mr. goldratt will feel with my using his words and theory in my articles, so hope you can advise me on this. in any case, you can edit it anyway you wish.
Thanks and best regards.
Joseph
