Value Chain Development Course (VCD)

22 - 26 September, 2008, Hanoi, Vietnam

13 - 17 October, 2008, Bali, Indonesia

MDF Indochina and Fresh Studio are pleased to announce that we will be
organising two new training courses on Value Chain Development in
Hanoi, Vietnam and Bali, Indonesia. These new courses have been
designed to respond to requests from our clients and cover both value
chain analysis as well as value chain development.

Course contents

We will present, discuss and practice the Value Chain concept in a
structured and participatory way. Due attention is given to the
various techniques and tools that exist within Value Chain Analysis
and Value Chain Development concepts, and the various roles that
donors, development organizations, private sector organizations,
governmental organizations and other stakeholders can play. You will
exchange experiences, practice tools and instruments to  develop your
skills and increase your understanding of the actual practices as well
as the process and management thereof.

At the end of the course, you will understand the value chain concept,
which entails:

• Private Sector Development approaches

• Value Chain Selection Criteria

• Chain constraints and opportunities

• Mapping the Chain

• Planning Value Chain Development activities

• Promoting equitable growth

Duration: 5 days

Schedule: 22 - 26 September, 2008 (in Hanoi, Vietnam) , 13 - 17
October, 2008 (in Bali, Indonesia)

Fees: Euro 1,050.- for the VCD in Hanoi,Vietnam , Euro 1,150.- for the
VCD in Bali, Indonesia

Language: English with translation to Vietnamese in Hanoi, Vietnam,
English only in Bali, Indonesia
