Brother, 
  My computer can't read Vietnamese, can you send the version without the accents? I love this poem, it always give me a vivid picture of the old Tet time.

  Dear CACC,
  Tet is coming.  And Ong Do Gia is the quintessential Tet poem.   Three years ago, I translated Ong Do Gia into English and posted here to share with everyone.  This year, brother Hien reminded me about this.  I went back and did some more editing.   So here is the new and improved version to share with everyone.
  Chuc mung nam moi, everyone.  Have a wonderful Tet.

  The Old Master         
  
   
  Each year when cherry blossoms flower
  Back here comes the old master
  Spreading red scrolls and Chinese ink 
  At this busy street corner 
   
  Buyers of his calligraphies
  Many whisper admiringly 
  "The fine hand moves the brush
  Like phoenix dances and dragon flies."
   
  But each year guests come fewer 
  Where have they gone, those old admirers? 
  Red paper grieves and dulls
  Black ink dries up in the forlorn bowl…
   
  The old master still sits there 
  But passers-by no longer care
  Dead leaves drop on the scrolls
  Over the sky a mist rain blows
   
  This year cherry blossoms again flower
  But the old master is here no longer
   
  All the folks of yesterdays
  Where do their souls now stay?

  Ông Đồ Già 
                      Vũ Đình Liên
  Mỗi năm hoa đà o nở 
  Lại thấy ông đồ già 
  Bà y mực tà u giấy đỏ 
  Bên phố đông người qua 
  Bao nhiêu người thuê viết 
  Tấm tắc ngợi khen tà i 
  "Hoa tay thảo những nét 
  Như phượng múa rồng bay". 
  Nhưng mỗi năm mỗi vắng, 
  Người thuê viết nay đâu ? 
  Giấy đỏ buồn không thấm 
  Mực đọng trong nghiên sầu ... 
  Ông đồ vẫn ngồi đấy, 
  Qua đường không ai hay. 
  Lá và ng rơi trên giấy, 
  Ngoà i giời mưa bụi bay. 
  Năm nay đà o lại nở, 
  Không thấy ông đồ xưa. 
  Những người muôn năm cũ, 
  Hồn ở đâu bây giờ ?
