Dear Brother Phong & CACC,
I did not say Vietnam should not have a one-China policy or should have to
two-China policy. We don't have to do anything against China and/or Taiwan
if we don't have to. That is good diplomacy.
I am talking about attitude. We, Vietnam, don't have the obligation to talk
the China line. All we need is to stay quiet on the issue (except when we
have to do some official job at the UN Security Council that demands our
speech).
A kowtowing attitude shows weakness and invites troubles. If China pushes
Vietnam around at will, it must start with the thought that "We can push
them around."
Have a great day!
Hoanh
