Anh Roger rogermitton at hotmail.com or mitton at sph.com.sg  is the Hanoi Bureau
Chief of The Stratis Times (Singapore), 21 Phan Boi Chau St, Hoan Kiem
District, Hanoi, Vietnam.  Anh Roger joins us via anh Bui Tuan Linh (Thanks,
brother Linh).

Welcome in, anh Roger.  Singapore, such a wonderful place!  I love
Singapore, its beauty, its vitality, its confidence and its people.  Many
times I walked the Singapore streets and told myself (or whoever happened to
be my companion at the time): "I wish Vietnam can be like Singapore."
Singapore is indeed a model city/country for Asia to look up to.  Many
Vietnamese officials have been trained in Singapore.  I am happy to see that
Singapore has such a good and strong influence in Vietnam, and I hope that
such influence will continue to grow for the benefits of both peoples.

We have many journalists in this forum, so you are in good company, anh
Roger.  I hope that our discussions in this forum will be helpful to your
work at times.  I also hope that you would feel comfortable to share your
thinking with us once in awhile.  Welcome in again, brother.

(My mother has just passed away lat Sunday. I am still in the middle of
arranging our final goodbye, so I am operating at half capacity on
everything else).
