Dear CACC,

 

Phuong & I ran into Nhu Trang, brother Phong's phu nhan yesterday and
learned from her that brother Phong's dad, professor Pho Ba Long, had been
hospitalized three days before (now would be 4 days as I write this message)
for some serious heart and lung problems.  

 

Professor Long is an amazingly active and positive man.  I met with him, his
wife, and my older friend Pham Quang Thuy, a catholic priest, several months
ago at his home and was absolutely stunned by his high spirit. 

 

We pray that prof. Long will recover soon.
