Ending Violence Against Women 
An initiative of UNFPA, this interactive, multimedia
online exhibit tells the stories of women throughout
the world in their battle to bring equality and stop
violence to women, as well as the efforts of the UNFPA
and other like-minded NGOs in these endeavors. 

Events 
The 51st Session of the UN Commission on the Status of
Women
The fifty-first session of the Commission on the
status of women began on the 26 February and will end
in March 9 2007. In Accordance with its multi-year
program of work for 2007-2009, the commission will
consider Â“The elimination of all forms of
discrimination and violence against the girl childÂ” as
its priority theme.

Aurora Launches 2007 International Women's Day Website
Building on the success of the IWD site over previous
