Thanks All for the replies,

Keep them coming if anything pops into the brain.

I suspect my skin is not too thin and the layer of insulation from eating
American food this last year will suit me better than most to fend off a
winter chill. 10 to 12 degrees celsius should mean to me, as Anh Hoanh
stated, a light jacket. I guess with the humidity and rain a jacket should
be waterproof? Now I think some woolen socks might be useful for nights.

As Hoanh said, I will buy most of what I need there; other than that will
bring that which I will not be able to find. Shoes, jacket, pants, t-shirts,
etc...

As to textiles in Vietnam, I have a friend from the fashion district in NYC
who sources for a major sportswear company. She says that they look to
companies in Vietnam with developed quality assurance systems in place to do
higher value added products. Simple stuff, such as t-shirts, are mass
produced, because of investment in technologies in China much more cheaply
and efficiently. Vietnam's competitor, in this regard, is Bangledash which
is also highly regarded for intricate higher value products.

Thanks all,

Craig
