[Vnbiz] More on Amazing Graduation Ratios

Dear CACC,

Obviously I was alarmed a little too early on Daklak.  Here is more shock
for all.  AT Dinh Tien Haong Highschool in Quang Ngai, none (zero, zip)
among 51 students passed the graduation exam.  Most schools in Bac Giang
province have a grraduation ratio under 5%, In Huong Tra Education Center in
Thua Thien, 68 students took the test, only one passed.  In  A Luoi
Education Center, 263 students took the test, only 2 passed.  (Please see

What is going on?  By now, I am almost sure that the main reason for this
kind of low graduation ratio is that the tests were intentionally made very
difficult for the students to past.  I do not believe that the low ratios
are simply the result of more control in the testing process.  Control does
help, but not that much.  Not all the students are cheater; I do not believe
that.

I remember there was an incorrect thinking in the traditional Vietnam that
the more students were flunked out, the more the test was deemed "valuable"
and "of high quality."  Such thinking was the left-over effects of the old
education systems (under the Chinese, the French and the Vietnamese) that
produced only a very small elite groups of degree holders and left the mass
uneducated or little educated.  Wonder we are going backward to such a time.

Cả trường đều trượt tốt nghiệp THPT

THPT Đinh Tiên Hoàng, huyện Sơn Tây, tỉnh Quảng Ngãi, có 51 học sinh dự thi
nhưng không em nào vượt qua kỳ sát hạch này.

Hầu hết trường ngoài công lập và trung tâm dạy nghề ở Bắc Giang đều có tỉ lệ
đỗ tốt nghiệp dưới... 5%. Cá biệt, CĐ nghề số 1 có tỉ lệ tốt nghiệp THPT
2,46%, CĐ nghề số 2 chỉ đỗ 0,85%.

Tương tự, ở Thừa Thiên - Huế, trong số 68 học sinh Trung tâm Giáo dục thường
xuyên Hương Trà, chỉ một em đỗ, đạt 1,47%; Trung tâm Giáo dục thường xuyên
Nam Đông cũng chỉ một em đỗ và thấp nhất là Trung tâm Giáo dục thường xuyên
A Lưới với 2 trong tổng số 263 học sinh đỗ, đạt 0,76%.
