One-Year Volunteer Opportunity at Public Health School in Vietnam (July 10,
2007-June 30 2008)

Volunteers in Asia (VIA) is looking for a volunteer to teach English to
public health students at the Hanoi School of Public Health in Vietnam, from
July 10, 2007 to June 30, 2008.  Volunteers will receive partial airfare,
living/housing stipend, insurance, language training and in-country
support.  VIA is a Bay Area based nonprofit which has been providing
volunteer opportunities in Asia since 1963.  VIA currently offers 1- to
2-year volunteer opportunities in Vietnam, China, Indonesia, Laos and
Myanmar (Burma).

Volunteer Role:
The volunteer will teach English for Public Health to undergraduate and
master's students in public health. With the right background, the volunteer
will also be asked to coordinate and teach refresher workshops to teachers
at secondary medical schools from all over the northern and central
regions.  The position is for one year and begins July 10, 2007.

Qualifications:
We are looking for graduating seniors or graduate students with an interest
and/or background in public health.

How to Apply:
An application is available online and must be completed and submitted to
our office by June 8, 2007.  A program fee is required for participation and
covers: partial airfare, visa, emergency medical and evacuation insurance, a
2-week TESOL training in Chiang Mai, Thailand, a 3-week orientation in
Hanoi, Vietnam, language training, ground transportation, monthly living
stipend, housing, annual conference, and in-country staff support. Please
