Dear CACC,
Please join to welcome sister Dang Thu Huong into our VNBIZ family.
Thu Huong <ddangthu at gmail.com> is an undergrad student at Ho Chi Minh
City Law University, 4 Nguyễn Tất Thành, www.hcmulaw.edu.vn, and works
as a volunteer at DRD-Disability Resource and Development Newsletter
group,
35-37 Hồ Hảo Hớn, district 1, HCMC, www.drdvietnam.com
Thu Huong joins us via chi Dieu Anh. Thu Huoong is a daughter of chi
Anh's friend. chi Anh forwarded my "Secret of Success" message to Thu
Huong and pointed her to the forum archives. Thu Huong liked what she
read. so now she is joining our family.
This is so great. Every time I see cross-generation camaraderie like
this, I am so thrilled. We are bringing all of us together and
blurring the generational gap, which is very good for our nation. And
every time one of my messages helps bring a new sister/brother into
the forum, I feel like a million bucks! Thanks, Dieu Anh.
Welcome in, Thu Huong. You are so wonderful! We're happy to have you
with us. Please just keep in mind that in this forum we are supposed
to address each other as brother/sister or anh/chi, so no "co Anh,"
OK?
Thu Huong writes a very thoughtful introductory message to the vnbiz
family. I am attaching it below. Thanks, sister dear, for such a
great intro. We love you. Please feel at home and share your heart
and mind with us. My experience is that the younger you are the more
things I have to learn from you (I am deadly serious. No
bullshitting). So please kindly talk often, so that I may have more
opportunities to open my mind. Trust me.
Great day, chi Anh, Thu Huong and all.

About myself:
I'm a lucky girl. I have a nice house to live in, a family to be loved.
But 3 years ago, I joined to my school Social Work corp. This time
brought me many nice experience. It showed me that there were so many
different sides of life. Besides my lovely life, there were so many
poor, lacking of care and love. At that time, what I all did is crying
or being sad all day long. I always asked for myself that "is it any
way to change such the "bad" things?".
Then I know that in somewhere, someone is doing sth to change this
life, to make it better.
In the early days, I saw people do charities. I joined some. But I
soon realized that this didn't work well. People didn't get their
true happiness. Luckily, I know DRD (a project supported by Ford
Foundation). And here, I learned that it's not charity but equality
the true way to "make it better".
In the following days, I pay more attention to social and political
problems. And I saw that social and political problems effect greatly
on people's lives. So, I keep interesting in such these problems. But
I didn't really know how to satisfy my interests (emotion, thinking
and desire).
Now, can you guess what happens next?
It's 3 days ago, I had a small talk to my mom's friend. She told me
about Vnbiz. My very first expression of Vnbiz was so nice for the
writing about Success of Mr Hoanh. Thus, I take more time to visit
this forum and read more about it. I learn a lot from it (though,
sincerely, so many writings here are "over my head". I don't
understand much). :) . But it's still so nice because here I learn not
only knowledge, but also the way in thinking, studying (working), and
living.
So that's the reason why I want to join to Vnbiz.
But it's not simply that.
Because I am a student. And I am a student in a special university. I
think that Law university is special for its role in this current time
(people tell me thousands of things about WTO and the laking of good
lawyers), and for my school characteristics itself. When I take time
to get acquaintance with friends here, I realize that most of them
come to Law university for its low require-incoming standard (last
year, to get into law university we need 15 marks, in comparison with
19 to get into university of economy). So most of the student don't
have a appropriate attitude toward their studying. Most of them don't
care for studying. Beside that, there are many one who really care for
society, policy, government, country. but studying in school only
doesn't provide us with many useful information. So, most of us don't
know how to improve ourselves, to raise our voice.
Then, once again, I keep asking "why don't law student care for
society, government?" and "how can I make it better?"
And my answer for now is: students don't care for society or
government because they are so lacking of information. No one tells
them about the outside world, about what is happening and what they
should do to prepare for such these things.
I know that I surely couldn't make it better all by myself (I'm just a
poor and weak student) .
But what Vnbiz shows up in the forum make me pretty happy. It makes me
believe in you, the elder. :)
And, now, I'm here, to ask for joining to Vnbiz, and also ask for a
care, a care for us-the Vietnamese students, the Vietnamese next
generation.
Last, I want to thank you Ms Le Dieu Anh who bring me to this forum.
And I hope that the better things is coming.
Best wishes to everyone here. It's very nice to know you!
