To add another dimension to your thinking, everybody 18 y.o. or over is
eligible to vote in Vietnam. Remember that quite a large percentage of our
population are young as well. I might be wrong, but I think young people
would vote for another young person if they had the choice.
Further on from this idea, it just might be likely that a young woman
like yourself would have a much, much greater chance of gaining eligibility
to contest an election because "old guard" VCP politicians will probably
believe they have nothing to fear from a "whisp of a girl", while younger,
more progressive members of the VCP and the NA would welcome the presence of
somebody like you (although they may not be able to say so openly).
If you want to talk about these ideas more, you know where I live!!! ;-)
