[Vnbiz] Private Wordfast Introduction Seminar, Free Training + Job Opportunies for 3 Translators

Dear CACC,
   After Tet, Trans Lingual Express will introduce one of the most popular Translation Environment Tools (TET) (also known as Computer Aided Translation (CAT) tools) to Vietnam. I have written a complete training courses for Beginners (Starters), Intermediate and Advanced users - both individuals and company/in-house translators.

   The TET is called Wordfast (www.wordfast.net). There are about 15,000 registered users of this software around the world. I am currently the only authorized Wordfast trainer in Vietnam, and have been using this tool since 2001. Wordfast can handle any language that can be used or displayed on a computer. It is also the ONLY tool of this kind that can operate on the Macintosh system.

   A private seminar to introduce TETs in general, and Wordfast specifically, will be held in early-March. The seminar will be by "invitation only", so please email me privately at shane.wall at translingualexpress.com if you, or somebody you know, is interested in attending this seminar to find out more about TETs, Wordfast and the Trans Lingual Express business. Please use "Wordfast Introduction Seminar" as the subject of your email.

   Later in March, after the seminar, I will need to choose 3 translators to undertake a pilot Wordfast training course - for FREE! After the course, I will make the necessary changes to the training modules before the final course is available. The 3 translators selected will need to purchase their own Wordfast license, but they will be entitled to a discount because they have received the training. This normal Wordfast license for a freelance translator is US175.00, but the discount price (after training) is only US$117.25. They will also be given additional help and assistance to learn how to teach the training courses.

   Once all that is completed, the 3 translators will be able to sell Wordfast licenses and training on behalf of Trans Lingual Express. In return, they receive a commission for every trainee they recruite and will be paid US43.75 per day for teaching the courses. They can earn anywhere from US$9.36 (for selling just 1 freelance license) up to a massive US$1,100 for only 5 days work (for selling Corporate+ training to 10 trainees on the same course)!!!

   This first stage will be limited to Saigon. If it is successful, we will do the same in Ha Noi, followed by Da Nang, Hai Phong and Can Tho/My Tho.

   While the seminar is open to anybody who registers interest, potential translators MUST fulfill the following criteria:
* Be fluent in English;
* Have a Degree in Translation or at least 3 years experience;
* Be very proficient in the use of MS-Word;
* Own or have regular access to a laptop;
* Be able and willing to work days, evenings and weekends.

* A degree or experience in sales and/or marketing would be a big advantage.
