Dear CACC,

Provbably you all have known that poet Pham Tien Duat passed away on Dec. 4,
2007. A bit before his death, his friends had finished a collection of his
poems. He is one of those poets who fought and wrote during the
war--soldier poet, you can say. (But "soldier poet" is not really a good
term, because during the war, every Vietnamese was a fighter and many of
them wrote poetry).

What fascinates me about these war-time poem is that they all have the
subperb combination of great love and great fire. Men and women of that
generation were truly romantic heroes. Anyway, if any brother/sister has a
hand on the new Pham Tien Duat Poetry Collection and if you can get an extra
copy for me, I would greatly appreciate it. You can keep it with you until
we meet some day. And I won't forget the debt :-) Out here, it's hard to
get books from Vietnam and if I wait for too long, the new book will be out
of print (and I'll be out of luck).

Thanks a million in advance.

Hoanh
