 Doosan Heavy Industries to build factory in Vietnam
SEOUL, Sept. 13 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co. said Wednesday it will build a large-scale factory in central Vietnam in an effort to advance into rapidly growing markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and India.

Together with its machinery affiliate Doosan Mecatec Co., the company plans to break ground for the factory in the coastal city of Dung Quat next year, it said. Beginning in early 2009, the factory will churn out products such as desalination equipment and heat recovery steam generator systems for thermal power plants.
