Dear anh Shane & CACC,
Anh Shane is correct that parents are to be blamed along with the
teachers for the problems in our education system. The problems must be
addressed by both the teachers and the parents.
Indeed, education is a problem for all of us. We all need to address this
issue. We need to tell our family members to stay away from wrong conduct
and focus on true quality, integrity and ethics. We need to write articles
on our newspapers, magazines, Internet forums, personal blogs about it. We
need to encourage the government to work on it. The VCP needs to focus on
it. We can't fool around with education, folks. If we produce junkies, our
nation will become a nation of junkies. To be winning, our education has
to be able to produce winners, people with a winning atitude.
Most education problems in our country are really a problem of attitude. We
talk about law and regulation as a method to help improve attitude. But
they are just that--Help. The key thing is our own attitude. And attitude
is a matter of our mind and our heart. We need to talk about the right
attitude, the right behavior. We need to set example by acting right
ourselves. And we need to make sure everyone understand which is right and
which is wrong. And we need to avoid making excuses to accept wrong
behavior as "acceptable." We need to permeate our society with right
values, right behavior, right attitude.
Education truly is not just a matter of school. It is every where. Let's
focus our heart and mind on it. Let's concentrate our talks and our actions
on it.
Have a great day!
Hoanh
