Dear chi Nguyen Hong Nhung, chi Le Dieu Anh and CACC...,

Further to chi Dieu Anh, chi Hong Nhung' s recommendations, I would like to have some suggestions as follows:

1. We want to find a suitable location for this event including the space large enough, atmosphere or surround environment, F&B, services quality, hygienic, etc. I assume that no cafe' or restaurant can meets all such requirements. Therefore, we need to think about what are the most important ones and approx. number of participants so that it easier for us to choose. I assume that we need to find a place where we can talk and have some F&B.

2. The locations recommended by chi Hong Nhung:
2.1 Dong Ho Cafe' on Cao Thang street' s annex, district 10: I been there for a couple of times (sorry I have not been to the truong dai hoc Khoa hoc Xa hoi va Nhan Van one yet): I agree with chi Nhung's ideas on it.

2.2 Binh Quoi - Thanh Da: it is run by Saigontourist Corp. There is a large choice ranging from F&B, entertainment, natural surroundings, to taking a boat trip on the Saigon river, etc. But it is a little far from HCMC centre and we may face a slight transportation problem.

2.3 Van Xuan restaurant on Pham Ngoc Thach street, district 3: it is OK both space, atmosphere, service, and in the heart of HCMC, F&B is good with the varied Northern specialties

2.4 The Popular Ngoc on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia street, district 1: it is right at the centre of HCMC, opposite Dinh Thong Nhat (the Former Presidential Palace or The Re-Unification Hall): The space is limited since al ot of clienets in and out. We have to make the revervation in advance, it is crowded and noisy but with a huge menu of local dishes form North Central to the Sounth of Viet Nam.

2.5 Lau De at the T-Juntion of Ho Xuan Huong and Truong Dinh street, district 3: If there is a large presence there would be a sitting arrangement problem. It is a noisy and moked location. May be not so many other CACC like this style, I think.

Any other CACC' s contributions/ ideas/ recommendations are welcome.

Thanks and best regards,

Dao Xuan Lam (Mr.)

Dear chi Dieu Anh and CACC...
I'm so sorry for delaying my response... Actually I have made a 'check it out" at some of Saigon-many-cafe to find a place to suggest for our' 2006" gathering.
  Here's my recommendations :
  - Dong Ho cafe: Near Ky Hoa area, district 10. Have any CACC been there? You should be surprise about its area.. i guess it is even larger than truong Dai hoc Khoa Hoc Xa Hoi & Nhan Van. It's like a big garden and there's even a lake reflecting cute coconut umbrellas on it.... Kind of outdoor and nature-friendly place from my point. However, the service is not excellent.....
  - A Oi cafe: Cozy inside and refreshing outside. A Oi is kind of garden-cafe which is in range with Tuong Niem, Vo Thuong.. Very nice interiors but not a restautant so, no good food but probably a place for good talk.... :)
Other place can be Binh Quoi, Thanh Da as various choice of Vietnamese food and drink (!!!) and natural surroundings. Or if we really go into restaurants there are a few like Van Xuan on Pham Ngoc Thach, Cay Khe and Doan on Le Quy Don.... Or how about the popular Ngon?
Or if we all want Lau de let's get to Truong Dinh anh Hoanh et anh Shane nhe'!!!
  :p
  What do you think?
That's for venue. I want you guys please to contribute your opinions about when you want to meet on Nov 22, what you want to do (should we do something surprising?), or if we should do it like a Saigon Dzo^! dinner (:p)... Or anyone want to suggest another place?
Please email me at nhuung at gmail.com if you guys can join this gathering. I'm going to meet anh Tu as he suggests to give a big hand.. Thanks a lot for that anh.... I hope to see you all there...

    Daer Hong Nhung and CACC,

Thank you, Hong Nhung, for posting a long list of upcoming events. However, allow me to add one more - upcoming vnbiz gathering in Saigon, taking advantage of anh Hoanh's return to VN this November. From what anh Hoanh said, the most appropriate date for gathering in Saigon is 22nd Nov (Wednesday) only. Since I will be in Danang that week, and am rather busy this time, I'd appreciate very much if Hong Nhung could give your hand in organising this event for vnbizers in Saigon.

Sis Hong Nhung, could you please suggest the time and venue for the gathering and whatever you feel like to do in that gathering?

Anh Hoanh, I am so soory that I cannot take this chance to see you at the SG gathering, However, I will go to Hanoi around 24 Nov and hope will see you there at Hanoi gatathering.

Sis Thanh An, I am not sure 100% but I would like you to reserve a seat for me and possibly for a couple of my colleagues (pending on their interest and schedule) in HN gathering on 26 Nov? This would be a great chance for me to know our bros and sis in HN.

    Have a nice weekend,
    Dieu Anh
