[Vnbiz] PLANNING FOR VNBIZ YEAR-END HANOI GATHERING!

Dear CACC,

Thanks chi Thanh An for organizing the Hanoi gathering.

Here is some update:  Next Monday night (Nov. 13), I will leave
Washington DC.  Will be in Kampuchea before coming to Saigon on Nov.
20.

For the gathering in Hanoi, I have invited novelist Vo Thi Hao to be
with us.  Chi Hao has been a long time VNBIZ member, but she usually
reads only.  I remember she posted only once or twice a while go.

For HCMC, the last time I heard, chi Dieu Anh may have to be in Hanoi
between Nov. 20 and Nov. 27.  So if you guys want to have a gathering,
someone may have to take over the organization.  Please check with chi
Dieu Anh.

I have invited chi Vu Kim Hanh to be in the VNBIZ gathering in Saigon.
 She will be available on Nov 22.  That is the only good day for me
too.  Chi Vu Kim Hanh is the current director of Foreign Investment
and Trade Promotion Center of HCMC.  But her name is known around the
world as the legendary Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre during the late
80's, who gave Tuoi Tre its international reputation.

I am very happy to have chi Vo Thi Hao and chi Vu Kim Hanh with us.  I
know many VNBIZers admire these two sisters. This would be a good
opportunity to get to know each other personally.

We have great great brothers/sisters in VNBIZ.  I hope you guys try to
be at these gathering often so that we will know each other
personally.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone.

(Question:  Can we hug in Vietnam now?  When I am in Vietnam I always
miss hugging.  Hugging is very natural in the US and I love the
feeling of closeness when hugging.  But in Vietnam I usually have to
stay half a meter away, and do a formal handshake with everyone.
Gosh!!)

BTW, Romi and anh Tin will moderate VNBIZ mail when I am on the road.
