[vn-tech] audio conversion

This is probably not the solution you're looking for, but I just wanted to
bring awareness to it.  I have a Creative Labs Extigy, an external sound
device.  The software that came with it has the ability to take an audio
stream and save it.  At least this is what I understand from the
documentation since I have not tried it myself.

MP3.
A lot of people suggest to use Total Recorder for your conversions.
