[vn-tech] relocate to UK

Hi All,

 

Not sure if this is the right forum - apologies if this is not so...

 

I will be relocated to UK (Southampton) early next year and I would like to
hear your thought on live and work in UK.

 

Where I should locate so that my family (wife with 2 young kids (3.6 and
0.5) can be closer to the Vietnamese community?

What is house rental, living expenses like?

What are expenses should I consider and what is the norm for company to
accommodate e.g. first few month house/car rental etc...?

 

I am aware (both internal as well as from job search in UK) that the are
willing to hire a new people to do integration for around 40K pound pa.
Being a system specialist, what amount should I expect? 

 

In this case of internal relocate, what is a reasonable % increase (since
living expense in Sydney is expected to be less than in UK and  I would have
to rent a place when in UK compare to what I am currently paying -
relatively minimum out going for my own apartment).  

 

FYI, the company is accommodating health insurance which I am also currently
entitled in Sydney.
