Xin Chao!
I am an American journalist just back in the US after three years living
and working in Saigon. I am writing a story about how people along the
Gulf Coast have rebuilt their lives after Hurricane Katrina. The one-year
anniversary is coming up, and I will be traveling the coast from Texas
through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida, talking to local
people about their experiences.
I am hoping to get in touch with the Vietnamese community in these
states, as well as find out more about those involved in the shrimping
industry in the Gulf. I speak fluent Vietnamese, with some reading and
writing.
Would it be possible to post this message on a bulletin board for your
users? Or if you have any contacts for me I'd be very grateful.
Cam on anh/chi rat nhieu.
Sincerely,
Christine Buckley
