Hello, Good day to you. I have a dillema and I hope you could help me. Im a Roman-Catholic Cristian and my boyfriend is Inglesia (Another type of Christian Religion). We've been together for 2 years and promised to each other to marry each other, but it was only 2 months ago he revealed that he isn't Roman-Catholic. I was preturbed. To be honest, I'm really not that religious. I don't go to church regularly because I usually get dissapointed to my other church goers (well, actually I am dissapointed to my church, most of my church members, and the people behind it.- it would take days to explain), yet I was born a roman catholic. It is in my blood. For me, converting my religion is like changing my surname / family name. It has been a part of me but I love my boyfriend. He was my first and only love. I don't know if i'll be able to love anyone else but him. I really do love him, and dreamed of having a family with him.
I'm confused. the feeling is like blood over heart. I have the blood of a Roman Catholic but have loved an Inglesia ni Kristo. Their church forbids (on penalty of expulsion) marriage to someone of another faith and membership in a labor union. I told him, it is difficult for me to shift to a new religion I do not understand. We both agreed to think about it more..but I do think he wants me to be converted into his church.

my perception to his church:
Personally, if I may say so (not in the sense that I'm agaisnt them), i felt their group to be a bit too defensive and self-righteous, (well according on what I read on www.allrefer.com ). In addition, I do not find a valid reason why they should have a mandatory membership fee. And is authoritarian, for example, the Iglesia ni Kristo, tells its members how to vote and is even respected for its ability to get out the vote for candidates of its choice. ..like what!?
Am I just to freak out or something? I just wanna know if shifting to his religion would do me good. There is some pro's in his church, for example, people are really serious in praying for the Lord our God. His members and his Church really give their helping hand (even financial help) to their members in need. There is a strong sense in brotherhood. Those are the things I admire about them.

Yet, still confused. Can you enlighten me? I need someone who can understand my dillema. I hope to hear from you soon.
