[Vacets] Select good friends.

Good friends are the ones that practice the five rules: 1) no killing, 2) no stealing, 3) no sexual misconduct, (adultery, ...),  4) no lying, 5) no intoxicants (drug, alcohol, ...)

In my technical profession, most of them practice the above 5 rules because we have certain conduct to follow (IEEE conduct, ...). Many other professions such as medical doctors, dentists, pharmacists, ... have similar rules and conduct to follow. Otherwise, you can find them at the universities and colleges in particular with a teaching profession, pagodas, temples, churches, ... For example, Christians have the Ten Commandments to follow, and 4 of them are listed above. To me if the Christians do not obey and practice the Ten Commandments then they're not Christians.

Dear Co Nita,
Thank you so much for sending me such useful Dhamma. I will meditate about it today, so that I will have clear thought about making friend with the good friends.
I 've paid high prices for choosing the bad friends. I 've learned from it but it seems that there are less good friends than bad friends.
Pls show me where to find good friends?
