[Vacets] Recent VACETS activities

Dear VACETS colleagues and friends,

It has been a while since we communicated. Hope all is well.

I want to update you on several exciting projects:

1. Youth Education Outreach Program - The first one is this Sunday 
3/26 at Kobe restaurant, Santa Clare, San Jose (11-3). VACETS members 
help with speaker invitation and moderate this interactive interview 
with successful V-A professionals. Speaker is Trund Dung. Target 
audience is high school and college students with parents.

2.  A workshop co-sponsored with VANG (Vietnamese American National 
Gala) on May 5 at 10 am at Westin St. Francis Hotel, SF, CA. VACETS 
will host this panel discussion. We are waiting the last of 4 invited 
speakers to accept.

3. An online mentorship program just started 
(VietMentorNet at yahoogroups.com) with plan to join the nation-wide 
<http://www.mentornet.org>www.mentornet.org network. Chris Pham is 
the POC.

4. Revamping new website and VACETS infrastructure are ongoing. We 
are making concrete steps in strengthening our organization (monthly 
board meetings, small activities, updating mission and 
infrastructure). We emphasize actions over discussions.
