[vacets-gen] RE: [Vacets-local-dc] Bush's View on the South Vietnamese

Hello Anh Dung,

I am curious as to what do you mean as doing nothing as Senator? What is
a Senator's job? Introduce bills and vote on them? I believe Government
records will show that Kerry did a very good job on performing his duty as
a Senator.

Some Google search shows that one can find voting records on Senate site
at

http://www.senate.gov/pagelayout/legislative/a_three_sections_with_teasers/votes.htm

What else are you looking for?

How about Bush's record as Texas gov? He left Texas education system in
ruin, the state in record debt (and now the US in record deficit).
Thousands of US citizens and soldiers died, billions in debt (which we and
our children will have to pay), world opinion of the US sinking by the
minute... the list goes on.

And you think Bush's record is better?

My observation is that the majority of old timer Vietnamese are angry at
Kerry for having fought courageously in Vietnam, then come home and said
what his heart felt. Whereas Bush, cowardly hid at home, didn't do
anything, didn't say anything until recently. So he "must be the lesser
evil".... shudder.

Everything else that is an "issue" brought up by Vietnamese voting for
Bush is simply an excuse to justify why they hate Kerry.

It would seem that Bush should be the one that Vietnamese should be afraid
of the most, and dislike the most. Bush & Cheney represents a corrupted
government (Haliburton, Oil interest), a disregard for freedom and
democracy (invasion of privacy in the name of "greater good", does that
remind you of the communism?), use of force and arms instead of brain and
diplomacy.... Advocacy of a totalitarian form of government, no longer a
democracy. One where government controls and have the power to do
anything it wants... in the name of "security". George Orwell 1984
anyone?

Not so cheers.... :-(
