[vacets-gen] Minutes on VACETS/NO VACETS meeting

Hello,

Just a quick recap on our meeting last night (In-person -Chris, Tri, 
Thanh, Tuan; Call-in - Cao Chanh (VI), Ban Tran (VI), Vuong Ly (VI), 
Tri Cao (SJ) with several sent emails or called ahead for not able to 
participate)

It was a consensus that VACETS is unique, our causes are worthy and 
that VACETS is needed.

Action items:

1. Proceed with Board of Direction Election - no delay or extension of schedule

2. New webpage and site up and running in 2 days (anh Vuong Ly has 
taken on this task with anh Thanh)

3. Start an official membership role (never had one) anew via several 
means (new website, bit and pieces here and there) - I am starting 
mine here. Can anh Chanh Cao starts one on your end? I have my list - 
Send me your email and we can fill in the blank.

Specific needs

1. New address - done (anh Thanh bought a PO box address in San Jose)
2. New phone service with possible minimal secretarial support - 
Cost-share with other non-profit groups - anh Chris is exploring this
3. New VACETS email list - Thanh/Tri
3. Legal service to re-legitimize VACETS as a non-profit corp with 
tax ID and 2005 income tax return - Last existed as a 503b entity in 
State of Virginia in 2001 - any volunteer
4. Treasury - Currently chi Lam Sa (VI) as de-factor for VACETS but 
communication is slow. Tuyet is our VTIC'05 treasurer and I am 
twisting her arm to remain in the same capacity - Can I ask anh Hai 
to ask chi Lam about her continued interest to help. We need  her 
email and phone number? We need a responsive function here.
5. VACETS Administrative Committee - Tri
6. Restart first VACETS activity on E-journal- Cao Tri (anh Tien had 
similarly volunteered to assist)

I recommend we refrain from mass-mailing the details of our communications.
