APAICS 10TH Annual Gala Dinner: The Asian Pacific American Institute for
Congressional Studies (APAICS) is the premier Asian American public
advocacy
organization in the United States. APAICS seeks to build a politically
empowered Asian Pacific American (APA) population, to be the political
pipeline for APAs to enter and advance into elected office and to act as
a
resource to Congress about the APA community. In May 2004, APAICS will
be
holding its 10th annual Gala dinner. 30 seats will be reserved for Gala
attendees. Tickets will be provided on a first-come first-serve basis.

About Vietnamese American National Gala (VANG):
The Vietnamese American National Gala was conceived by a group of
individuals who recognized the lack of Vietnamese American
representation at
national events in Washington, D.C.. Comprised of individuals who have
actively participated in numerous events at the nation's capitol, VANG
hopes
to bring greater visibility to Vietnamese Americans.

VANG is a national effort to bring Vietnamese Americans together to join
with other
Asian American communities to celebrate the Asian Pacific American
Heritage
Month, in May of each year, and to celebrate three decades of progress
and
achievements made by Vietnamese Americans. In addition, VANG will gather
over four hundred (400) distinguished guests (approximately 200
prominent
Vietnamese Americans from all around the country, a hundred corporate
sponsors and a hundred elected officials and federal staff) to honor the
accomplishments of distinguished individuals and organizations
throughout
the United States.
